What is Edpreciate?

Edpreciate is a peer-to-peer recognition platform designed specifically for the education sector, born from real classroom experience and a deep understanding of education staff needs.

At its core, Edpreciate enables colleagues to acknowledge and thank one another through gratitude posts - whether for small acts of kindness that brighten someone's day or significant contributions that make a lasting impact. These moments of recognition help build a more supportive and connected workforce where everyone knows that they contribute to making a positive difference. How Edpreciate came about...

The platform was founded by a primary teacher with a decade of experience in teaching and leadership roles. Having experienced firsthand the increasing demands of education, endless to-do lists, and the impact of burnout, she recognised that feeling valued and appreciated by colleagues could make a crucial difference in preventing teacher burnout and fostering a more positive work environment.

This understanding is supported by the 2024 Teacher Wellbeing Index, which revealed that 50% of education staff feel their organisation's culture negatively affects their wellbeing. With increasing challenges like behavioural issues, unmet SEN needs, and parental abuse affecting staff morale, feeling appreciated has been identified as a key factor in fostering positive organisational culture.
